What is Comenius?
Comenius is a European project ran by the EU to promote interaction between schools in Europe. It aims to bring learning alive for pupils and staff alike in all schools involved. Funding is available to support partnerships, which allows staff to travel between schools. Our partner schools are in France, Finland, Ireland, Wales, Hungary, Italy and Catalonia.
The Comenius Project wants people to develop a sense of belonging to Europe, to share ideas and learn about different ways of life, languages and customs.
- To discover similarities and friendships.
- To foster tolerance and respect of other people.
- To Equip young people for life and work in a global society.
- A curriculum should include international issues and awareness.
Earlier this year each school ran a competition to create a logo for our Comenius project. Here are the lucky winners...
