YOTO Player Cards
If anyone has any YOTO mini player cards they no longer use these would be greatly received in school. Thank you
School Layby
Thank you to everyone who supports our drop off and pick up procedures. Please can I remind everyone that in the mornings the layby is drop off ONLY. At the end of the school day the layby is solely for the school bus and should NOT be accessed by other vehicles, unless for exceptional circumstances, by prior arrangement with the school office. Please can you share this with others if they collect on your behalf. Thank you in advance for your understanding and support.
Traffic Issues
If you are aware of any issues there is a dedicated Traffic Incident reporting site, where the public can report traffic incidents directly to the Police, including photographs. Please see the details below.
Humberside Police
Report a road traffic incident
If you've seen a problem or been involved in an incident on the roads, report it here using our quick and simple online tool.
Online service, select report, Road Traffic Incident.

Volunteer Readers
If you enjoy reading, have a few spare hours each week and would like to support our children in their reading practice we would love to hear from you. Learning to read is one of the most important, and most enjoyable, activities children can take part in. It is proven that good early reading has a direct impact on achievement later on. Please let the school office know if you are able to help. All volunteers require an enhanced DBS check, the school office will assist with this.
Tennis
Yesterday, the children in Reception and Years 1, 2 and 3 had a very enjoyable coaching session from Goole Tennis Club. The children had a wonderful time while developing their tennis skills.
Online Safety – Link to the Online Gaming Session
Further to the information shared last week (see poster attached) the information is below along with the link for the Online Gaming Information Session.
Please find below the link to access the parent/carer session scheduled for next Wednesday (28th January 2026 – 9.30am – 10.15am). Please share as required.
Focus: Guide to online gaming - this will include latest trends and emerging threats and will focus on developing your understanding of online gaming, the associated risks and steps we can take to support our children.
Attendees do not need to register, they simply click on the link at the above time to access the session. Cameras and voice/audio will be switched off for all attendees. Attendees can ask questions by typing in the Q&A box, but this will be explained during the session.
The event will be streamed using Teams. Attendees can watch the live event in:
- Teams app—desktop (Windows or Mac) or mobile. (The Teams app is free to download if attendees would like to do that beforehand).
- If they don't have Teams they can access it via one of the following browsers - Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Firefox.
As a reminder, this session (and all our virtual sessions) will be recorded and will be subsequently shared so if somebody can’t make the live session then they can watch it back at a time that is convenient to them.

An Absence from School for Exceptional Circumstances Request Form, must be completed for all absences (not medical). https://www.snaithprimary.org.uk/page/?title=Attendance+%26amp%3B+Punctuality&pid=77
Please can I remind parents that school is not able to authorise any holidays during term time. Therefore, it is important to consult these dates before making any booking. Penalty Notice Fines are issued on a per parent per child basis for term time leave of 5 (10 sessions) or more consecutive days.
As school is in session during these times, if your child does not attend school due to an unauthorised absence, school will not provide work for this period of time as children are expected to attend school to undertake their learning.
Penalty Notice Fines are also considered, if a child has 10 sessions of unauthorised absence in 10 school weeks.
We are committed to improving achievement through attendance, and any pupil whose attendance falls below 97% becomes a cause for concern. Attendance below 90% is classed by the Government as persistent absence. If a child’s attendance falls below 90% we refer all cases to the Education Welfare Office at East Riding Council, who is likely to contact parents directly to give support and discuss the matter.
(Parent, in relation to a child or young person, includes any person who is not a parent of the child but who has parental responsibility for the child, or who has care of them).
