School Council Elections

Prepare your Manifesto

On Monday 24th September we will be holding our School Council Elections. We always uphold the democratic process for this. In each class children nominate themselves for this role, which includes attending meetings to discuss developments in school, representing their class views, voting on school issues and feeding back to their peers.  These may include points raised from our pupil questionnaires. Some of the children elected will also have the opportunity to attend a ‘Joint Generation Council’ with other School Councils to discuss local issues. A big focus this year will be developing our outdoor areas. If your child would like to be a School Councillor we ask that he/she complete a manifesto, explaining why they would like the role and what they could bring to it by Wednesday. They will then be given an opportunity to share this with their class before secret voting takes place in the ‘Polling Station’ on Monday 24th September.
