Snaith Primary School

Catch up premium 2020-2021

The Government has announced that £1 billion of funding has been earmarked for schools to support children and young people to catch up. This includes a one-off universal £650 million catch-up premium for the 2020 to 2021 academic year to ensure that schools have the support they need to help all pupils make up for lost teaching time due to Covid-19.   Although all children have had their education disrupted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, it is likely that disadvantaged and vulnerable groups will have been hardest hit.

We have received £14,094. Below is our action plan for how the funding will be spent.  This will be reviewed each term by Governors and Leaders.

Please be aware that this does not take into account money spend on COVID safe measures such as additional cleaning, cleaning products or staffing for COVID safe measures over lunchtime. Outlined below is the funding we have allocated to support learning.

In addition to the specific funding below we have ensured that classes remain small this year and have use the school budget to enable children to be in 14 classes (including Nursery) rather than 13 as in the previous academic year.

This is to ensure that all children have high teacher to pupil ratio. We have also ensured that all classes have daily teaching assistant support.
