Recommended by Snaith parents and used in our class, children upload their spellings and then test themselves. You can also track and monitor how they are getting!
Me Books iPhone, iPad and Android Free
Me Books is a digital equivalent to a children’s picture-books shop, acting as a store to buy e-books including Angry Birds, Peppa Pig, Skylanders and Frozen, but also as an app for reading them. Its most fun feature is the ability to re-record the voice narration with your children. Comics were recently added too.

The spellbook is one of several apps by Mr. Thorne who has whole range of Youtube videos and teaching apps available. For developing KS2 and KS3 vocabulary.
Pop Words FREE iPhone, iPad
PopWords! is an addictive new word finding game. Drag your finger to select words, and watch them vanish with a pop! New letter blocks fall to fill in the gaps, so there are always fresh tiles to work with. You can even select words strategically to move tiles into place and form even longer words.
Word Bingo FREE iPhone, iPad
Children locate the correct words, tap on them and try to get a complete row. With success comes rewards – they can collect bugs and play a target game, flinging the bugs around the screen. It doesn’t teach as such, it is mainly useful to practise reading words.
Marvin = eBooks + Intelligence FREE iPhone, iPad
Marvin is an eBook reader with a host of extra features. It ‘reads’ the book with you and can locate characters in the book, show where they first appeared in the text and even build summaries. You can pin websites, videos and articles to the book you are reading.
