In response to parents request for extra homework and material to support learning at home, I have collated a list of apps that may help give your child’s learning that extra boost. I have not used all of these apps myself, however I have tried to find a range of free and paid for apps that have very good reviews.

Aside from the music and sound effects Numbees is a lot of fun and puts maths into an arcade-style format. It's a lot like Math Bingo but tackles questions from a different point of view, for instance giving you answers and making the player work out the sum.

Practise times tables in a fun way.
Although expensive this app has received very good reviews. They have a range of spelling and maths apps which you can view on their website http://keystagefun.co.uk
Mr Thorne’s Time table terror All £1.49, iPhone, iPad
This Londaon based teacher has a created range of Maths and English based phonics apps to support learning.
Let’s Do Mental Maths Bloomsbury Publishing £2.29, iPhone, iPad
Let’s Do Mental Maths for iPhone and iPad are also recommended. They're a great way to monitor your kids' progress at maths and test most maths categories.
They are designed to support the latest National Curriculum requirements and have been developed alongside children in classrooms to help boost children’s confidence.
