Good morning children, we hope you have had a good weekend.

Following on from the story the hungry caterpillar we’d like you to have a look at the life cycle of a butterfly. There is a video below that we would like to you watch.  See if you can draw and label a diagram in your green books.

Can you think of any other animals or insects that go through special stages to grow into an adult?

What about you? How are you different from when you were a baby?

Maths

Please continue to complete your 5 a day on ‘doodlemaths’.  Don’t forget to complete any extras you may have been assigned.

Shape, Space and Measure

Can you design your own symmetrical butterfly in your green books? Make sure your butterfly is the same on both sides.

Phonics

Go through your sound book. Ask a grown up to say a sound, can you write it accurately down.

Spellings

Remember to try and learn 5 spellings a week from your reception spelling list. Can you use any of these words to write a simple sentence?
