What a great week!

We have had another great week, starting with the Yorkshire School Cycle Baton Relay being given a great send off! A huge well done to the children and Mr Pickering who cycled to Boothferry Primary School arriving well ahead of schedule on such a hot day. Click here to see pictures of the great event.

On Monday morning the children then enjoyed an assembly presented by Reverend Eleanor followed by a ‘French’ breakfast, it was a great opportunity for the children to put their French speaking skills into action.

Children in Year 6 this week were given a talk on ‘Buswise’. This is a partnership between East Riding of Yorkshire Council, schools, parents, pupils and local bus companies. The partnership works together to ensure that everyone has a safe and pleasant journey using either the school bus or public transport.

On Thursday and Friday representatives from Croda were in school working with our Year 3 and 4 children on a number of science experiments.  A huge thank you to them,  all the children were inspired and had a great time.

A number of our Year 5 children represented the school at a ‘Rhythm and Routes Programme’ at Hull Collegiate School.  This has provided us with further inspiration for our Carnival Celebration.

We have also had some great sporting results, the children represented the school at various venues in the county playing Cricket, Kwik Cricket and Rounders.  With great success and many progressing to the next round.

I think it is important to note, as always we are so proud of our children with how they conduct themselves when representing the school. We have received numerous comments from other members of the public at these venues who have all offered compliments which I believe are important to pass on to parents too.  Thank you!
